ANSI C63.5 2004 and ANSI C63.22 2004 PUBLISHED

Michelle Turner, Project Editor, IEEE Standards Activities informed Don Heirman, Chair of SC-1 that C63.5-2004, Antenna Calibration (replacing in its entirety the 1988 & 1998 editions) and the new C63.22-2004, Guide for Automated Emission Measurement, were published on Monday, December 20, 2004. Print versions should be available on or about January 10, 2005. Michelle extends her thanks to all who helped to make these publications possible. Don extends his thanks and appreciation as well to all members of Project 1-15.6 and Project 1-8.1 Working Groups who prepared the documents, respectively. Don also extends his special thanks to Dennis Camell of NIST and Mike Windler of UL for their diligence in getting C63.5 on the street and for Werner Schaefer for leading the work on emission automation now published in C63.22.

Don urges readers to pass this news release on to their colleagues, especially those who are with testing organizations both in-house and third party as well as accreditation bodies such as NIST-NVLAP, and A2LA. It is expected that both of these documents will be referenced in the next revision to ANSI C63.4 on measurements of radio frequency noise.
